NO SPOILERS, all I write here can be read on the back cover of the books in question

All the Light We Cannot See; a blind girl in Paris during WWII, touching and beautifully written
The Martian; guy gets stuck on Mars and tries to survive, very funny, suspensfull and true to science (sci-fi)
Off to be a Wizard; programmer discovers the source file of the world and discovers he can change it as he pleases, really laughed out loud at the geek humor (fantasy)
The Rook; Jason Bourne meets Men in Black meets Memento with a women as the main character (fantasy)
Technological Slavery: The Collected Writings of Theodore J. Kaczynski, a.k.a. “The Unabomber”; scientist turned killer (so clearly a nutcase on one hand) does write a compalling case against our love of technology, as a nice balance to all the tech news we hear
